The cardioid pickup pattern of the microphone ensures that only your vocals are picked up, instead of the instruments around you. The e835 is also insensitive to feedback. Its built-in pop filter prevents popping and wind noises from being picked up, handling noise is countered via a built-in shockmount system and thanks to a high maximum SPL the microphone won't suffer from distortion. This makes the e835 well suited for rougher stage work.
